It is well known in the competitive rimfire world that air draft into the barrel that let the humidity and temperature of the competitive's bullet wax change will shift your POI on the next "cold bore". To prevent that, this device is made to stop this air draft. The device is made to be remove before firing, but also feature a "shoot thrue" opening at the end in the case a shooter forget it. This opening is meant to be taped.
